gimp school assignment

this assignment was a pretty cool one. How often can you take something you see every day and make it totally new and interesting? This project was easily the most fun one I have been assigned. The most fun part was not finding the images but improvising them so they would work. I think the best example of this was the bather. I copied and pasted her into the image and then realized even after my cropping she had gaps that showed a background that was a different color than the one I placed her on.  This Isn't a problem I thought, I zoomed really far in, re-cropped her border but instead of just tracing around her I traced through her wrist at just a small place and cropped the inside of her arm and exited the same way I had entered. I did the same for a gap in her legs you could see the sky through. The little incisions I made are actually still there in the final photo but I made sure to zoom in far enough so as not to have them be seen without close in zooming. How is that for improvisation?
