Open Assignment: Toys

Toys Assignment

This is my favorite picture from this assignment. the scuffs on the baseball, and the beat up typewriter box give the picture a rough worn out look, yet the bat and the mat are new and shiny. I also really like the amount of different shades of brown in the picture, the bat is different from the mitt is different from the floor is different from the marks on the baseball, this I think, creates a strong bond and a feeling of things belonging together in the picture. The settings are: ISO 200, f stops 6.3, shutter speed 1/200 sec.

This assignment was really cool. I got to use so many new things and so many new props that this project seemed like a total step up from the normal black stool and mag light. I got to use A great camera on this project and I got to use a "window" as an actual studio quality light. I can't really think of a much better way to go into a vacation than this: last photography assignment turned in, (better than the rest put together) no homework, nothing to do but relax.
