This portrait demo was surprisingly fun. I have never really liked portraits especially much as an art form but in a relatively short time I managed to without too much frustration take and edit two pretty good pictures. This was, I thought going to be a harder subject to take pictures of, but I think I had the lowest pictures taken/ pictures used ratio of any project. Given this is just a demo it is true that the actual project could get much harder but now I know that the project is within reach, and is fairly fun to take pictures of.

Black and White Assignment
The black and white assignment really came at me fast, I didn't even really know what project I was doing until I saw some cool black and white opportunities in the past assignments. so I set out to try and duplicate these pictures to the best of my ability but in black and white. this may not be my most original project but I got some really cool pictures that I can be fairly proud of.

This is my favorite photo from this assignment. I like how the light seems to almost jump out at you from behind the blocking barrier and lines help to draw the viewer to the center of the light, which incidentally also pulls the eye to it by its extreme dominance in the photo. Also the little light circles around the center were an unexpected and cool add on to the picture. If I could go back and change one thing I would lower the exposure just a bit as it seems a little overexposed to me, its values are: ISO 80, f/8, and a 1/2500 of a second shutter speed.

macro assignment
This is one of three photos I am very proud of from the macro assignment. The rest of these three are the second and third photos in my slideshow. the settings are as follows: ISO 80, 3.5 fstops, and 1/4 second shutter speed.
This assignment I liked a lot, closeups have always been interesting to me. The quality of images could've been better but then again the quality of camera could've been better also. In short this assignment interested and challenged me as a photographer without over-stuffing my already packes schedule.
